1. About Us
Maison Leopolda is a trademark owned by Valdora AB (the Company), a Swedish company registered and operating under the laws of Sweden. Org. nr 559543-0348. VAT no. SE559543034801. Registered office (for legal correspondence only): Baldersgatan 3, 114 27 Stockholm, Sweden. Please do not send returns to this address. All returns must be sent via the prepaid DHL label issued through our returns portal - see §8. Our online boutique is hosted on Shopify and serves customers across Europe. All references to "we," "us," or "our" throughout these terms refer to The Company. References to "you" or "your" refer to the customer placing an order through our website.
2. Eligibility & Account
To shop with The Company, you must be at least 18 years of age or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is greater. By placing an order, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and complete. Should you choose to create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. We reserve the right to refuse service, close accounts, or cancel orders at our discretion if we reasonably suspect misuse, fraudulent activity, or a breach of these terms.
3. Products & Pricing
Every piece in our collection is presented with the care it deserves. Product descriptions, imagery, and sizing details are provided as accurately as possible – though please note that slight variations in colour may occur due to screen settings, and minor differences are inherent to the nature of artisan-quality garments.
The price currency is displayed based on your location. All prices on our website include applicable VAT for European Union member states. Prices are subject to change without prior notice, though any changes will not affect orders that have already been confirmed. In the unlikely event of a pricing error, we reserve the right to cancel the affected order and issue a full refund.
4. Placing an Order
An order placed on our website constitutes an offer to purchase. We will confirm receipt of your order by email, but please note that this confirmation does not constitute acceptance. The contract between you and The Company is formed only when your order has been dispatched and a shipping confirmation has been sent to you.
We reserve the right to decline or cancel any order for reasons including, but not limited to, product unavailability, suspected fraud, errors in product or pricing information, or issues identified during payment verification.
5. Payment
We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro and UnionPay), as well as Apple Pay, Google Pay, Klarna and Bancontact, along with other local payment methods made available through our payment processor at checkout depending on your location. All payments are processed securely through Shopify Payments. We do not store your financial details. All transactions are encrypted using industry-standard SSL technology.
Your payment will be authorised at the time of order placement. In certain cases, your bank may place a temporary hold on the funds. If your payment cannot be processed, we will notify you and the order will not proceed.
6. Shipping & Delivery
6.1 Standard Shipping
We ship to Sweden, Denmark, Norway, the United Kingdom, the United States, and across the European Union. Every order is entrusted to DHL for safe, reliable delivery. Standard shipping is made via DHL ServicePoint, with an estimated delivery time of 2–3 business days from the date of dispatch. Your parcel will be delivered to a DHL ServicePoint near the address you provide, and you will be notified when it is ready for collection.

6.2 Express Shipping: 1-2 Business Days from Dispatch
For those moments that simply cannot wait, we offer express delivery via DHL Express, typically arriving within 1–2 business days from dispatch. Express orders are delivered directly to the address provided at checkout, so please ensure someone is available to receive the parcel. Orders placed before the daily cut-off time indicated on our website will be dispatched the same business day.

6.3 Order Processing & Delivery Terms
Orders are typically processed and dispatched within 1 to 2 business days (Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays). Once your order has left our warehouse, you will receive a shipping confirmation email containing your DHL tracking number so you can follow your parcel's progress in real time. During seasonal peaks, new collection launches, or promotional periods, processing times may be slightly longer — we will keep you informed every step of the way.
Delivery times are estimated from the date of dispatch and are not guaranteed. Maison Leopolda cannot be held liable for delays caused by the carrier, customs clearance, adverse weather, force majeure, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
In accordance with applicable EU consumer law, the risk of loss or damage to the goods passes to you only upon delivery of the parcel into your physical possession (or that of a third party nominated by you, other than the carrier). We nonetheless recommend that you inspect your parcel upon receipt and report any visible damage to our customer service team at hello@maisonleopolda.com without undue delay.
Please ensure that the delivery address provided at checkout is accurate and complete. We cannot be held responsible for parcels delivered to an incorrect address supplied by the customer.
7. Right of Withdrawal
In accordance with the Swedish Distance and Off-Premises Contracts Act (Lag om distansavtal och avtal utanför affärslokaler, SFS 2005:59) and the EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU, you have the right to withdraw your purchase within fourteen (14) days of receiving your order.
To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must notify The Company of your decision to withdraw within the 14-day period — by email to hello@maisonleopolda.com or via our returns portal. The withdrawal period begins the day after you receive your goods. Upon notification, you have a further fourteen (14) days to return the product(s) to us. The deadline is met if you dispatch the goods before the 14-day return period expires.
The Company may withhold any refund until we have either received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent the goods back from a recognised carrier (such as a DHL drop-off receipt), whichever is the earlier.
Upon receipt and inspection of your return, we will process your refund within fourteen (14) days. The refund will be issued to the original payment method used at the time of purchase, less any diminished-value deduction as set out in §8 below.
8. Returns & Refunds
8.1 Return Conditions
To exercise the statutory right of withdrawal under §7, the customer must notify The Company within 14 days of receiving the order and ship the goods back within a further 14 days. The shipping deadline is met if the goods are dispatched before that 14-day period expires.
For a full refund, items must arrive unworn, unwashed and with all original tags attached, in their original packaging, in a condition that allows resale as new. The Company inspects and photographs every return on arrival.
Where a returned item does not meet the full-refund standard, The Company will reduce the refund under §8.5 to reflect the diminished value of the goods. The reduction may equal the full item price where the item is no longer sellable as new. In such cases the refund may be declined in full.
The Company may retain or dispose of any item that does not qualify for a full refund. The customer may request that the item be returned to them at their expense within 14 days of our refund notice; if no such request is received, The Company may dispose of the item.
8.2 How to Return
Returns are handled directly by our customer service team. To initiate a return, please visit our returns page and complete the form provided. Within 24 hours of submitting your request, you will receive a prepaid DHL return label by email — either as a QR code to scan at a DHL ServicePoint, or as a PDF document to print and attach to your parcel before drop-off. Do not ship returns to our registered office address; only parcels sent using the prepaid DHL label can be processed.
8.3 Return Fee
Returns are free. The Company provides a prepaid DHL return label and no handling fee is deducted from the refund.
8.4 Refund Processing
Refunds are processed within 14 days of receipt of the returned item(s), following inspection. The refund will be credited to the original payment method. Please allow an additional 5–10 business days for the funds to clear, depending on the customer's bank or payment provider.
Where the customer exercises the statutory right of withdrawal under §7, The Company will refund the item price (as adjusted for any diminished-value deduction under §8.5) together with the standard outbound delivery cost. Supplementary costs paid for an upgraded delivery option (for example express delivery) are not refundable.
8.5 Diminished Value
The Company inspects and photographs every return on arrival. Where a returned item does not meet the full-refund standard in §8.1, the refund will be reduced under Article 14(2) of the Consumer Rights Directive to reflect the diminished value of the goods. The reduction may equal the full item price where the item is no longer sellable as new, including any objectively justified loss of income from disposing of the item as second-hand. The Company will notify the customer by email of any reduction or refusal of refund, with a photograph and a brief explanation.
9. Defective or Incorrect Items
If you receive an item that is defective, damaged or materially different from what you ordered, please contact us at hello@maisonleopolda.com with your order number and a photograph of the issue. We ask that you do so within 7 days where the issue concerns transit damage, so that we can investigate it with DHL while their carrier-claim window is open. This request does not affect your wider statutory rights under Konsumentköplagen.
Once notified, and once we have inspected the returned item and confirmed the defect, The Company will offer either a replacement (subject to availability) or, where replacement is not possible or appropriate, a refund of the item price together with the standard outbound delivery cost. Return shipping in these cases is at The Company's cost.
Under Konsumentköplagen, you have the right to claim for defective goods for up to three years from the date of delivery, and complaints made within two months of you discovering the defect are always considered timely.
10. Gift Cards
Gift cards purchased from The Company are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash. They are valid for a period indicated at the time of purchase. Gift cards are applied at checkout and any remaining balance can be used on a future purchase. Lost or stolen gift cards cannot be replaced.
11. Intellectual Property
All content on our website — including but not limited to photographs, text, graphics, logos, product designs, and brand identifiers — is the exclusive property of The Company or its licensors and is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws. Reproduction, distribution, or use of any such content without our prior written consent is strictly prohibited.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, The Company shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of our website or the purchase of our products. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific product(s) giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these terms shall limit or exclude liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation.
13. Force Majeure
The Company shall not be held liable for any failure or delay in the performance of its obligations where such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, strikes, governmental actions, war, terrorism, carrier delays, or supply chain disruptions.
14. Privacy
Your privacy matters to us. For a detailed account of how we collect, use, and protect your personal data, please refer to our Privacy Policy, available on our website. By using our website and placing an order, you consent to the practices described therein.
15. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sweden. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Swedish courts.
For customers residing within the European Union, you may also submit complaints through the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. Additionally, Swedish consumers may contact the National Board for Consumer Disputes (Allmänna reklamationsnämnden, ARN) for out-of-court dispute resolution.
16. Amendments
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will take effect upon publication on our website. It is your responsibility to review these terms periodically. Your continued use of our website or placement of orders after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. Changes will not apply retroactively to orders already placed.
17. Severability
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable, while preserving its original intent.
